HealthShare Victoria (HSV) was established on 1 January 2021 as an independent public sector and commercially-oriented provider of supply chain, procurement and corporate services to partner with Victoria’s public health services and suppliers in delivering best-value health-related goods and services.
Denise was selected as the OHS Consultant to help HSV with the set up of a 22,000 sqm warehouse in Melbourne’s west. This was a newly leased warehouse and the project involved completing risk assessments on the proposed work areas, establishing the traffic management plan, working with a Project OHS Committee to consult, drafting policies and procedures, signage, communication updates and preparing for the transition of the existing service from a 2000 sqm facility.
Denise then moved from consulting to a longer-term contract to embed an organisation-wide safety strategy through the People, Culture and Safety team.

Our safety professional has worked closely with frontline managers and employees to update existing and develop new standard operating procedures, understand the critical safety risks and keep focus on the effectiveness of the risk controls, implement new traffic management plans at the warehouses, form an internal safety group which meets quarterly and keep the executive informed the effectiveness of the safety program.
